DW-RN171-XC - New 802.11 b/g WiFi OEM Module
datasphere has launched one of the world’s smallest fully embedded Wi-Fi module, the DW-RN171-XC. The module features a small footprint (39x25mm), high efficiency, and low power consumption, incorporating Roving Networks RN-171 Wi-Fi Module. The DW-RN171-XC also features both a built-in antenna, and can be integrated into devices supporting various wireless standards including 802.11 b/g.
The DW-RN171-XC Wi-Fi module is designed for fast and easy application development of low power sensor and actuator solutions, enabling devices, machines and other systems to connect directly to the Internet for a wide range of emerging machine to machine (M2M) applications. Embedding Wi-Fi directly inside a device makes installation simple as it can use existing infrastructure and works “out of the box” with applicable cloud services.
